Food 4 The Soul Diner & Bakery is looking for staff to join our team with proven restaurant experience in filling customer orders accurately , experience carrying out other kitchen duties, must be a team player, know how to communicate, must be dependable and know how to multitask. A successful Background Screening check is required before hiring. This is a Drug-Free and No Smoking Work Environment.
Food Safety is our 1st name. All employees are required to take the on line “Food Handling” course. Everyone will be cross trained and are required to complete the on-line Serve Safe Food Handling Course. The training will be paid for by Food 4 The Soul.**
Kitchen Assistant: All employees must wear gloves and hairnet and follow the food safety guidelines at all times. The kitchen worker is responsible for filling orders accurately and in a timely manner, assist with food preparation including but not limited to: washing meats and vegetables, weigh and measure ingredients, go after pots and pans, stir and strain soups, sauces, gravy and other stove or oven cooked food. Also clean, peel, and slice vegetables and fruits and make salads. Responsible for cutting and grinding meats, poultry, and seafood in preparation for cooking. Responsible for keeping the kitchen area cleaned (i.e. Sanitize the steam table, fryers, work area etc.). When business is slow, the kitchen assistant may assist other Staff with various tasks.
Dishwasher-lobby Attendance : Must wear gloves and hairnet and following food safety guidelines at all times. Must follow the food safety guideline for Pre-Wash, Wash, Rinse & Sanitize. The dishwasher/lobby attendance is responsible for keeping the kitchen staff supplied with clean dishes, pots, pans and utensils. Responsible for putting the dishes, utensils, pots and pans back in the correct location. Responsible for taking out the trash, sweep and mop floors, clean restrooms and trash cans.
All employees must wear Non-Slip closed-in shoes.
Cashier– Must wear gloves and hairnet and following food safety guidelines at all times. The cashier must have experience in retail sales, and be professional, polite and know how to greet customers and must be reliable. The cashier must be competent with computerized register system and have good cash handling skills. The cashier is responsible for greeting the customers, taking orders, handling credit cards transactions, bagging the orders, presenting the order to the customer, keeping the front area and lobby cleaned (i.e. Sanitize the area). When business is slow, the cashier may assist other Staff with various tasks.
We are open Sundays to the public (Except on 4th Sunday) .
Scheduled work hours :
Sundays 12:00pm to 5:00pm .
Additional hours maybe available to assist for catering events.
Based on work experience, may pay up to $10.00 an hour.
